These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website www.carbonchainindia.com (the “Site”) and any related services offered by CarbonChain India Private Limited (“CarbonChain,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company incorporated under the laws of India (CIN U62099TN2026PTC188574), with its registered office at Ayapakkam, Chennai – 600077, Tamil Nadu, India. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Definitions

• “User,” “you,” or “your” means any person who accesses or uses the Site, including but not limited to farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), institutional partners, prospective investors, and general visitors.

• “Services” means CarbonChain’s carbon verification (MRV) technology, information provided on the Site, and any related tools, forms, or content made available through the Site.

• “Content” means all text, graphics, logos, images, data, and other material made available on the Site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Use of the Site

• You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

• You agree not to use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Site, or interfere with any other party’s use of the Site.

• You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Site.

• You agree not to use any automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Site without our prior written consent.

• You agree not to upload or transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code through the Site.

• You agree not to misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or impersonate any person or entity, when using the Site.

4. Intellectual Property

• All Content on the Site, including but not limited to the CarbonChain name, logo, trademarks, text, graphics, and underlying technology, is the property of CarbonChain India Private Limited or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including copyright and trademark law.

• CarbonChain’s carbon verification methodology, including its multi-source cross-verification approach, is the subject of a provisional patent application (ref. P-865) in India. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or license to use CarbonChain’s trademarks, patents, patent applications, or proprietary methodology, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent.

• You may view and print Content from the Site for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from any Content without our prior written permission.

5. No Financial, Legal, or Agronomic Advice

Content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, investment, legal, tax, or agronomic advice. You should seek independent professional advice specific to your circumstances before making any decision based on information found on the Site.

6. Carbon Credit Program Participation

• Participation by farmers or Farmer Producer Organizations in any CarbonChain pilot, program, or carbon verification activity is entirely voluntary and subject to a separate consent process and, where applicable, a separate written agreement.

• CarbonChain does not guarantee that any specific farming practice will result in the issuance of carbon credits or any associated payment. Carbon credit issuance is contingent on independent third-party validation and verification by an accredited Validation and Verification Body (VVB), and is outside CarbonChain’s sole control.

• Nothing on the Site constitutes a binding offer or guarantee of carbon credit revenue, farmer income, or any specific financial outcome.

7. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources. CarbonChain is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party websites, and inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. CARBONCHAIN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
